These Terms apply to use of kemetcompass.com and to direct purchases from Kemet Compass. Kemet Compass is an independent publishing brand operated by Richard Smith.

By using the site or purchasing a digital product directly from Kemet Compass, you agree to these Terms and to the related Privacy Policy and Digital Delivery & Refund Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase, or you must have the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the transaction.

Unless a product page states otherwise, Kemet Compass digital books and downloadable materials are licensed for the purchaser’s personal, non-commercial use. Purchasing a file does not transfer copyright or other ownership rights.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, upload, publicly post, share access credentials, or otherwise make purchased files available to others except as permitted by law or by written permission from Kemet Compass.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated as required. Payment must be completed through the payment methods offered at checkout.

We may refuse, cancel, or refund an order where there is an apparent pricing error, payment problem, suspected fraud, unauthorized use, technical failure, or other legitimate reason affecting the transaction.

Direct digital purchases are delivered electronically, generally through a download link, customer account, order-confirmation page, or email. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address used for the order and for using compatible software or devices to open the purchased format.

Because digital products can be accessed or downloaded immediately, digital sales are generally final once access or delivery has been provided. Limited exceptions are described in the Digital Delivery & Refund Policy, including duplicate charges, failed or corrupt delivery, receipt of the wrong file, or circumstances where applicable law requires another remedy.

Kemet Compass titles may also be sold through Amazon and Etsy. Purchases made through those marketplaces are governed by the applicable marketplace terms, payment procedures, delivery systems, and refund processes. Questions about a marketplace transaction should generally begin with that marketplace’s order-support process.

Kemet Compass books and companion resources are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They do not provide individualized legal, tax, financial, investment, medical, credit, housing, insurance, mechanical, or other professional advice unless a specific product expressly states otherwise.

Readers remain responsible for evaluating their own circumstances and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional.

Site content, book content, downloadable materials, branding, graphics, and other original Kemet Compass materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, marks, products, and services remain the property of their respective owners.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for activity occurring through your account. You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use the site for unlawful purposes.

We may update, replace, correct, suspend, or discontinue site features, product files, pricing, or content. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Changes apply prospectively from the date the updated Terms are posted.

The site and digital products are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that every site feature will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kemet Compass and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or digital products. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
